I thought I'd share a little traveller's story with you. It is not a story of a real trip but more a medieval moral fable. I hope you enjoy it.

Once upon a time there was a traveller. Many years ago he had chanced upon a farm, and having been hungry and penniless at the time, he had accepted an offer of board and lodging, and he hadn't found a reason to leave since.

One day, however, he approached the farmer and announced his imminent departure. The farmer was surprised as to the sudden change of mind and asked for the reason behind it.

“I am a traveller,” said the traveller by means of explanation.

“But thou hast been here for so long.”

“Yes,” acknowledged the traveller.

“And thou hast never complained, nor disliked it here.”

“Yes,” acknowledged the traveller.

“And all of a sudden you think it is better to leave.”

“Yes,” acknowledged the traveller, bowed his farewell and left.

Hi pHanNie,

thanks for reading my little story. The abrupt ending is actually intentional. I simply wanted to allude to the sudden urge that sometimes grips people to travel. Not every trip needs to be well planned, sometimes we just feel the urge to leap - without further explanation...

Cheers,
aze
